Parmer-Palmer family papers, 1847-1889.

Financial records, legal documents, printed material, and a photograph comprise the Parmer-Palmer family papers. Four receipts document Robert A. Parmer's membership in the Oak Shade Grange. The legal documents include the commission of Thomas Palmer for service as Chambers County Precinct Two Justice of the Peace (1859), a Harris County deed from John D. Smith to Richard L. Redmond, and the July 29, 1862 honorable discharge from the Army of the Confederate States issued to Isom Palmer. The Parmer printed material consists of Thomas Parmer's written calling card identifying Parmer as a veteran. The Papers also include a tintype of Isom Palmer.
